A 41-year-old Montreal man who was trafficking drugs in Kingston was arrested and found to have over $25,000 in illegal drugs.
According to a release from Kingston Police, on Dec. 30, 2016 officers from Street Crime began a controlled drug investigation. As a result of that investigation one male was arrested and a warrant for the accused who sold the drugs was applied for.
On Feb. 15, officers from the Street Crime Unit located the accused driving southbound on Gardiners Road. The officers conducted a vehicle stop and the accused was arrested. During a search of the vehicle, officers found and seized marijuana, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine with a street value of over $25,000.
The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.
The accused was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of trafficking a controlled substance.
The vehicle was seized as offence related property.
